Wilson Timba is a Mozambican DJ and producer who began his musical journey in 2014, quickly establishing himself as one of the leading names in the Afro House and Deep House scenes. In 2020, he fully embraced electronic music, blending traditional African rhythms with contemporary electronic production to develop a distinctive sonic identity.
His discography includes Paradise Vol.1 with South African vocalist Tsimo and Uyabizwa with renowned vocalist Tabia (2024). His international collaborations include Uhambo with Morete & Natasha MD, released through Mustache Records (Brazil), Ubuntu on Urber Records, and Terra with Brazilian artist Jéssica Gaspar. Tabasamu, created with Kenyan vocalist Idd Aziz, received support from Black Coffee, further increasing Timba's international visibility.
In 2023, Timba performed at the International H2O Festival, marking another important step in his growing presence on the international stage.
In 2024, he continued expanding his live profile, performing at prominent venues and festivals including Laroc Club, ranked among the world's leading clubs, as well as RW Club, Dhaus Club, and other major events. These performances helped establish his presence beyond Mozambique and strengthened his position within the international Afro House circuit.
In 2025, Timba joined the prestigious Human By Default project by Bedouin, co-producing Ungubani with Malik Mustache and Gugupash. The release received support from Bedouin, Adriatique, and &ME of Keinemusik, further solidifying his international recognition.
That same year, Wilson Timba expanded his international presence through a major India Tour, performing across multiple cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore, Pune, and Goa. The tour represented a significant milestone in his career, connecting his Afro-electronic sound with audiences across India and establishing a stronger presence within the country's electronic music scene.
In 2026, Timba continued his momentum with Praise, a collaboration with Biishop that received support from Shimza. He also released Orbit with Marco Franco and Choli with Betrieb, further expanding his catalog of international collaborations. During the same year, he performed at Hena Beach Club in Tanzania.
Timba also returned to India in 2026, continuing his connection with the country's electronic music community with performances in cities including Indore, Satara, and Bengaluru. These appearances further strengthened his international presence and growing audience across India.
Beyond his work as an artist, Wilson Timba is also the founder, together with Marco Franco, of Orbit Label, an independent platform focused on Afro-electronic music, B2B culture, and international artistic collaborations. Founded by Wilson Timba and Marco Franco, the project reflects their shared vision of building a platform that connects artists, sounds, and audiences across different markets.
With a growing international discography, performances across Africa and India, high-energy DJ sets, influential collaborations, and a clear artistic vision, Wilson Timba continues to push the boundaries of Afro-electronic music and establish himself as a distinctive voice on the global Afro House scene.
